lazy sunday
posting from my phone, so forgive any mistakes.
i have just had the best bacon and siomai i have ever had in my life. re the bacon - it's like God took his favorite pig and smothered him in honey and special seasoning and put it in a breakfast buffet, extra crispy. and the siomai is actually not siomai but some korean concoction with chopped pork, shrimp and a shiitake mushroom to hold it all together. if you ever find yourself in Cebu, go to the Kilimanjaro Cafe breakfast buffet in Plantation Bay resort. Thank me later.
oh, and if you want good steak, fiji restaurant, also in Plantation Bay. holy crap, was that steak ever amazing. charcoal-broiled and rare as could be. oh Lordy. this could just be the best fake job ever.
also, have just finished reading the comic book of the show i cannot name for fear of jinxing it. i know i've sung his praises for a while, but i did not appreciate the contributions of the craptastic actor i cannot name for fear of jinxing him to his character until i read the comic. comic version is still wonderful, but either they tweaked the character to fit Craptastic Actor, or Craptastic Actor brought a so much more heart into the character that they couldn't not re-write him. And just so we're clear, i did NOT approve of the ending. Loved the story and will buy the next edition for sure, but please please please do not end it like that.
Eta: just asked Korean girl to name the non-siomai and it's completely unpronounceable. Sigh. I had her write it down for me instead.
Etaa: i can't believe this. People are having cereal. At a BUFFET. Money is wasted on the wrong people.
Eta3, The Return of the Eta: Dr. Horrible comes out on DVD December 19. Such a crap musical. Why are they coming out with a DVD for it? Nobody wants to see it.
