"Nice to meet you, Rose. Run for your life."

Can anyone - anyone - host a 'thon within the next two weeks? One preferrably where we can stay overnight? Are you guys up for an overnight 'thon?

I ask this because I really have to pimp the 2005 remake of Doctor Who from the BBC. It is brilliant. Buffy brilliant. Intelligent, addictive, and ridiculously fun. Plus it has Christopher Eccleston, who has now replaced the Coupling cast as my PC's wallpaper because I love him. And Billie Piper - yes, that Billie Piper - who has grown up into a rather impressive actress with her performance as the Doctor's sidekick, Rose. And John Barrowman, who shows up in the ninth episode onwards and almost steals the show. And the writing talents of Russell T. Davies (the original UK Queer as Folk and the BBC miniseries version of Casanova, which I also have and am dying to show to people), Mark Gatiss (The League of Gentlemen) and Steven Moffatt (Coupling), among others.

And it's family-friendly. Which is a relief, personally, since I now have something to show children when they visit the house.

Anyway, I'll try to get my family to leave house for an entire weekend at some point. Meanwhile, is anyone willing to offer an alternate location in case I don't get to kick them out? I'll bring the player and the material and cheese-and-salsa based snacks, I promise.

Meanwhile, DO NOT SEEK OUT SPOILERS. I know it's a 30+ year old mythology. But don't. I went in blind, and it's SO much better that way, trust me.
