Well
Well, it has been a while. I'm not sure how long this will last, but I needed to express something right now, and this was the fastest, and most convenient way I could think of.
This is what I needed to get out:
Jeff Beck is incredible. Everyone go out and by "Blow by Blow" by Jeff Beck. This is real guitar. I knew Jeff Beck was the man, but I never really listened to him the way I should. And wow, I'm gonna practice triple the amount that i normally do, which is somewhere between 15 minutes and 4 hours on any given day.
My life now consists mainly of three things:
1. People-and not the magazine, the actual being
2. the Red Sox
3. Guitar
Let's start with three. There is nothing in the world I enjoy more than going to my guitar lesson, or sitting at home just me and my guitar, and just rocking out. Whether it's scales, chords, arpeggios, practicing, playing, jamming, soling, being bluesy, being jazzy, playing songs, writing stuff..anything that has to do with guitar, I love. I'm taking lessons with this guy, Bob Thompson, and he's incredible. He's such a cool guy. I had a lesson today, well, yesterday, and I can't wait until next Monday's lesson. I get psyched up about guitar. I hope to one day make money by doing the thing I love-playing music. Music is a beautiful thing, and to be able to create it, understand it, and appreciate it for all it's worth is one of the greatest gifts of all time. Music is the purest form of art. Or at least I like to think it is.
My Red Sox are amazing this year. We are currently 50-30, and hey, tomorrow's the halfway point in the season, and guess who's gonna be there :]!!
People. Friends, family, coworkers..That's what I mean by people. I really don't have much else to say on that.
It's funny to think my inspiration to create a new journal was to express my feelings on Jeff Beck-no, really, that is why I made this. Go buy "Blow by Blow".
Alright, I have to sleep. I have a busy day tomorrow, and Wednesday is my favorite holiday-4th of July babyyyyyyyy! Dale's coming up, and Steph's coming home!
