I'm still standing by only those who have never sinned should have voted for Prop 8 based on a religious stance and if all men sin, unless we're willing to ban marriage between those who don't become fruitful and multiply as well, there's no point in singling out sins. Prop 8 doesn't mean you have to agree with gay marriage, it just means you realize there's no room for discrimination in constitutions throughout the USA.

If I weren't Christian, I don't think the outcome would have infuriated me as much as it has. The Bible says to follow the law and if the law calls for a separation of church and state, then Bible followers need to follow that. If being gay is a sin we need to control then people need to be penalized for masturbating, pre-marital sex, anal sex (hetero or homo), coveting other people's possessions (so really, being jealous of anything), I mean the list goes on for days.

Within the scope of the government, Prop 8 can only be handled as a civil rights issue if you're Christian.

I keep debating this and I keep hearing about the Christian argument and as a Christian, it just doesn't hold water so as always I'm still heated.

I think I'm changing my stance to, "It was a sin to vote yes on Prop 8."
