Last night I had a bit of an accident. I mean, I'm all fine and dandy, just sore, sore, sore. My poor bum!
Yesterday evening as I was slowly (I say slowly because I'm all too aware of the last time I ALMOST ate shit) walking down the stairs with Jo on one hip and an empty Tide container in the other hand, I happened to slip. Yep, fell with all my weight onto my poor bum and slammed my back into the stairs and slid a bit. Of course with Jo on my right side, my automatic instinct was to turn to my left. The world went black as a horrible pain shot through my body and I figured Jo was ok because of her silence. Of course she started screaming (I truly think it scared her the most, but her poor little leg was a bit red, nothing big) Luckily Dave was home, he took her while I laid there on the floor trying to calm down my breathing and get control of my body. Yowza the pain was horrible. I hate HATE it when you hurt so bad you can't move, break out into a sweat, heart is racing, feel like ralphing...you get my point.
Now, I'm walking around with a sore bum and I keep reminding myself of trying to walk around the hospital after I had Jo, how sore my vagina was...lol...feels like I gave birth out my tailbone area!! I'm just glad nothing serious happened.
Before that though, yesterday went good. I went ahead and tried out a new recipe, chicken parmesan....I've never made it before and I have to give myself a little pat on the back because it was really yummy. I'm finding that I am enjoying cooking a LOT more, especially when the end result is a good one! (we are just going to forget the broccoli casserole disaster!! lol) I've probably said that before, but I really AM excited about it. I was never taught how to cook when I was younger, heck, I never really saw many people cook anything that didn't come out of a box.
I've been planning what I am going to do with my container gardening this year, I think I might be planning on more than I can handle but I am going to try! Dave's store just got in a bunch of bare root strawberry plants, so we are waiting on some cash so we can get what we need to start that. Also going to get a blueberry plant I THINK, as well as some cucumbers, sugar snap peas, red bell peppers and IF we have space..maybe even some broccoli and cauliflower. Problem is in our backyard, only certain parts of it get a good amount of sunlight. Just another reason why I can't wait for the day we can afford a place with a big backyard so I can plant a mega garden of fruits/veggies!!
