You got it, it's American Idol time!
Yep, I'm the freak that still watches every episode. I even stayed up until 10 the past 2 nights just to watch the whole train wreck that is the auditions! I know, shocking!! Me...up past 9:30? Crazy times.
I got another message on myspace from an old friend. This time an even older friend! She was my friend in elementary school but due to some stupid reason she hated me all throughout middle/high school...my brother went as far as to light her best friend's hair on fire because they wouldn't leave me alone.
But whatever, she's got a little girl that will be one on Feb. 3rd and seems to be very happy. It's nice to be able to reconnect with people, especially without all the akwardness that happens in face to face meetings. Yay for the internet.
Dave has his eye on a 2,500 hundred dollar computer. (that's standard price, you can add even MORE goodies for up to 4,500!) Unsure of how to proceed with it. We discussed it over making dinner the other night and came to a handy agreement. If we get enough back on our taxes to still have a nice amount in savings or we have to save for a few more months, he does his research on processors/other laptops and still wants it in 3-4 months...we'll go for it. How can I say no? While I personally think that that is quite a large sum of money to spend on something, I forget that he spent 2,000 on our current one and it's lasted for 2 years. It still works but the processor is wearing thin and instead of replacing it...well...you get it. Whatever works.
As for everything else, well, *knock on wood* Jo is doing a fantastic job sleeping wise these days. She's been going to bed/sleep easy and STAYING asleep. All night. Finally. She's acting all grown up (she's really obsessed with my heels, there's a video in need of upload somewhere on my computer) and being just such a cute little girl. But when that girl doesn't get her way...oh goodness gracious...be prepared for the dramatic.
On one final note, I've been doing my best to get Jo back on track, eating wise. You know, more fresh fruits/veggies...less junk. I've also been doing what I can to reduce unnecessary waste. It's about damn time I started doing more and you can't deny that it feels good to be doing a small part in the grand scheme of things. Let's just hope that I can keep eliminating things as the years go by and keep up with it!
