a lil update since it's been a few weeks...
this week has sucked hardcore as far as money and cars are concerned. my Honda has a rejection sticker on it, it didn't pass inspection because of the brakes and some rack and pinion bullshit. i swear mechanics see that you are a woman with no engagement ring or wedding band on and they think they can royally fuck you up the ass with no lube. so anyway the Honda has a rejection sticker on it so i decided to start driving the Trooper until i can either fix the Honda or sell it. So then on Tuesday the Trooper wouldn't start in the morning therefore i drove the Honda. After work that day I got pulled over and lectured by a cop but luckily did not get a ticket. So then I had the Trooper towed to the mechanic on Wednesday which was $65 to have it towed and then i find out it needs $864 worth of repairs. On Friday I get up to take the kids to school to find that my Honda is not in the parking space I parked it in. i had parked it in the visitors area because my parking pass was on the Trooper which is in the shop, so anyway my apt complex has a contract with a a towing company and apparently they towed my Honda because of the rejection sticker, WTF! So I had to call a friend and borrow a vehicle, thank God for good friends!!! Got the kids to school and got to work but was late for work. After work one of my co-workers was nice enough to take me to get my Honda out of tow which was $135 btw. Okay let's add this up.
$65 to tow the Trooper to the mechanic
$864 to repair the Trooper
$135 to get the Honda out of tow because apparently i can't even park my own vehicle where I live (I could really go on an irate tangent here but I will spare you)
so then the mechanic calls me and says did you know the tags have expired... no i didn't realize that but i am not surprised so i went on my lunchbreak to DMV to take care of that issue and DMV said the City of Hopewell has a hold on my registration because I owe them some personal property taxes.... GREAT! Get back to work, make some phone calls, pay the taxes of almost $100
that's A LOT of money to pay out in just a matter of days!!!!
so here is what I am thankful for:
my kids, they are happy and healthy and make my life worth living :)
my boyfriend, he calms me down without even knowing it. he rocks my world and i am happy that i have someone that i can be myself around and be able to open up to and share my world with and I know he feels the same way :) <3
my friends, they are the BEST... and if they ever need me for anything I am here for them
my co-workers, for being understanding
Howard, an honest mechanic, thank goodness! my Trooper drives like a dream now
and I plan on selling the Honda for $500 and just cutting my losses, I can't afford to keep it and now that I have repaired the Trooper I really have no need for 2 vehicles
