Talking about the new Jane Austen movie with my mom and sister, this is what happened when my dad came in...
"blahblahblah about the movie"
My Dad: "What are you talking about?"
Me: "Jane Austen"
Dad: "oh, I don't know who that is"
Me:"... ... ... Jane Austen"
Dad: "No I don't know who that is"
Me: "The author?"
Dad: "I don't really know American authors"
Me: "... ... ... Shes from England"
Dad: "oh,..."
and then he goes on to talk about how good this sports writer is.
dear lord, shoot me now. How could someone not know who Jane Austen is. Let alone thing she was a American author. Very disappointed.
