(no subject)
so i went to the doctor today about my back. i got 5 shots of a mixture of a short term anti-inflammatory, a long term one, and a muscle relaxer. i also got prescriptions for both muscle relaxers and pain killers that aren't supposed to effect my ability to drive. keep in mind that these shots were administered directly into the muscles that were spasming and were directly next to my spine. the needle was 2" at least. that's what my mom says. i chose not to look at it. most of the shots were just a bit uncomfortable because of the burning when the medicine went into them, but one of them was really really painful. i know how to manage pain... well, at least not make my pain so noticeable to others. this one shot made me actually cry. that's how bad it was.
i already feel some relief, but it's still far from 100%.
my prescriptions should finally be ready in an hour. my mom's asleep on the sofa behind me. once they're ready, we'll pick them up. i'm then headed off to her house since they just got a new therapeutic hot tub that the doc ordered me into. i'll be staying the night there since sometimes it's really hard for me to do some of the things i need to do, you know?
one good thing... the doc did say that 80% of the people that receive this shot say they feel 50% better within 24 hours.
wish me luck considering i'm getting in my car saturday to drive to california.
