OMG!! It's me.
I've been very remiss in posting lately. Life gets busy and although I stay on and look at my journal several times a day, most of the time, I seem to be very bad at posting.
Not much of interest going on in my life. Same old stuff. Taking care of my kids. My oldest had sugery on his leg at the end of January. He's 18 and he was born with one leg shorter than the other. WHen he was smaller it didn't affect him and the orthopedist wanted to wait to do any major work until he was grown, since he'd just have to do it again. But now that he's 18 he's pretty much grown and so they decided it was time. The surgery was to lengthen the heel chord(achilles) and stretch the hamstring. He's been in a full length leg cast since then and it will be 6 weeks next week at which time he gets it off and then starts to rehab. He's going a bit stir crazy at times. But he keeps himself fairly occupied with his laptop. He's been sleeping on the couch, because he just didn't feel like it was worth the effort to try and get up the stairs to his bedroom. For the first week or two I slept on the big comfy chair(with ottoman) in the same den/family room as the couch so I could get his pain meds or help him up to his crutches since he was a bit unsteady at first, now I'm still sleeping there mostly just to keep him company, for solidarity. Both of us will be glad to get back to sleeping in our own bedrooms, but strangely we've kind of enjoyed the arrangement as well, it's kind of like a campout.
I have been in rehearsal for a play with my theater group and it's coming along fairly well. We open a week from Friday. It's a murder mystery called Laura. It was a book and then in the 40s they made a movie and then wrote a play based on it. It is pretty good and we've had fun getting it ready.
