25 years ago....
Carolina beat Georgetown in the NCAA finals to win Dean Smith's first NCAA championship.
Sunday, Carolina takes on the Hoyas to go to the Final Four.
Please let history be on our side!
There are a few select things I am passionate about and Carolina basketball is one of those things. I can remember being five or six years old and sitting with my dad watching Michael Jordan and James Worthy and Sam Perkins. I hope that history can repeat itself and the Tar Heels can win on Sunday! Go Heels!
On a side note---I tanked on my office pool for the NCAA brackets during the first round...but my final four picks are still in the mix....I have Carolina (of course!), Memphis, Kansas and Florida. My final is Kansas vs. UNC with Carolina taking it all!
