Long, but funny, so read :-p

Well, when I got to work this morning, as soon as I clocked in I headed for the computer. I made $7.58 in comission yesterday. :-D Sheree only made $1 something. :-/ So when she came to work to relieve me, she said that if there is ever day where I am scheduled on the front register and she is in cosmetics at the same time, that we will definately trade because she says I have a better chance at beating Sandy than she does. Oh, and I am better with customers, know how to talk to them, and have a good personality and I guess the combination of all of that helps me make more. I told her that I am SO fake at work, and that I am really a bitch outside of work. ;-)

In 2 days of working, I am only $5 away from what I made in 2 weeks last payperiod. So I'm doing much much better. Tomorrow starts the real competition, I wish it started last Friday, I'd be kicking some major ass. When Sheree and I agreed to work our asses off to raise our cosmetic percentage, we weren't kidding. Coorporate wants our percentage to be at least 45% daily. That means they want at least 45% of all merchandise taken from the shelves from cosmetics, to be rung up on the cosmetics register. Sounds easy, but sometimes customers want to pay for their stuff at the pharmacy when they pick up their prescriptions. Or in photo with their pictures. Or we're busy and they don't want to wait in line so they go to the front register. Anything could happen to prevent getting 100%. Anyway, on Tuesday which was when Sandy last worked (I worked 2nd shift that day) our percentage was 48%. Yesterday with only Sheree & I working, we got 52%. I'm pretty damn proud of us. :-D

I must learn how to play Euchre. I swear, Brad has been trying to teach me how to play for almost 8 years and I still don't get it. Even a few of his friends have tried to teach me. It just doesn't sink in. Sheree asked me today if we played, and I told her that I will never know how to play it. She laughed and said that the more I play, the more it will start to sink in, and that her & her husband want to have another couple to play cards with. So I told her that they can come over sometime soon and we'll play so I could learn. She was excited. I like when Brad & I have couples to hang out with along with our individual friends. Jeana, if you and Dwight want to play, you guys can come too when they come. It'll be fun! :-D You and Sheree got along good when you two worked midnights together, didn't you? And I did tell you that she hates Sharpe now too, right? lol

Anyway, I was in cosmetics today and overheard my boss on the phone at a register. I heard him say to the person on the other line, "Amy sure knows how to sell that wrinkle cream. She sold another one yesterday! *laughs* Yes, another one." I poke my head around the corner since I heard my name and he holds the phone out to me and says, "Sandy wants to talk to you!" My eyes got wide and I quickly shook my head no, lol. He says to her, "She doesn't want to talk to you," then laughs, and holds the phone back out to me. "She said get on the phone!" So I took the phone from him, timidly said, "Hello?" and hear, "YOU SOLD ANOTHER ONE???? HOW ARE YOU DOING THAT? WHAT ARE YOU SAYING TO GET THESE PEOPLE TO BUY IT FROM YOU????" I laughed my ass off and replied, "Sorry, Sandy. I can't reveal my secret!" She answers, "I am your boss! And I haven't ever held that over your head yet. But now I am! What is your secret??" I still refused to tell her, haha.

I had a good idea today. I had remembered how when Rob worked there and announced his engagement, our boss had mentioned that in events such as employee weddings, stores will get people from other stores in the district to come to the other store to work during the event, that way all of the employees can get to go. So I got to thinking. What if my boss could do that one day this summer, then we could all take a day trip to Cedar Point together with our families. We have a connection in the family and could get discounted tickets for everyone. I mentioned it to everyone today, and they all thought it was a great idea. I'm not sure what our boss thought - but I hope he's at least considering it!

Tomorrow is April Fool's day. And we agreed today that Sandy will be our target. For her whole shift tomorrow. First, there are 2 employee parking areas. She is VERY anal about getting a spot in the area closest to the store. She even has to have the very first spot in the row, out of 5 spots. It's hilarious, John usually gets to work so early and always (purposely we think) takes that first spot. She gets so frustrated and annoyed at him that she has to park in the next spot. I don't know what the big deal is with her about walking an extra 2 steps, but we all think it's funny. Oh, and if she is forced to park in the 4th or 5th spot, and someone parked in a closer spot leaves for lunch, she will actually go out and move her van to the spot that they left, before they return.

So anyway, usually the 3rd shift employees park in the other emplyee parking area, which is at the back of the store, and a farther walk. Our boss is going to have the 3rd shift pharmacist, the assistant manager, and the 3rd shift employee who works tonight, park in the first 3 spots of the area that Sandy just has to park in. Keep in mind that they don't leave until after Sandy arrives. Then tomorrow morning, since John gets there way before Sandy does, he'll take the 4th spot. Joyce works in the morning too, and usually gets there before Sandy does. But she's going to leave a little earlier tomorrow to make sure that she, and not Sandy, gets the very last parking spot. By the time Sandy gets there, all spots in her must have area will be taken and she will be forced to park in the back. To add to it, our boss is going to walk outside with the assistant when she leaves. Knowing Sandy, she'll go outside to get her van and bring it to the parking spot where the assistant was parked. But oh no no! Our boss won't have that! Right before the assistant goes to leave, he's going to out out and get his Suburban, and be waiting for the assistant to pull out of the parking spot, and snatch it right up! I wish I could be there to see the look on her face when she pulls her van up front and sees that once again, her spot has been taken, and is again forced to park in the back. ;-)

For her 2nd prank, it was going to take place when I get there to relieve her at 3:00, but unfortunately, she has to leave before I get there for a doctor appt. So our boss is just going to do it before she leaves and then tell me all about it. Another thing about Sandy, she HAS to ONLY work 1st shifts. She never, ever, wants to work a 2nd shift. She'd freak out if she had to. So our boss is going to tell her that our district cosmetic supervisor came in the store yesterday (today) while she was off, saw how excellent I did in sales during 1st shift, and insists that Sandy & I now split shifts. That she'll have to work some 2nd shifts instead of all 1sts so that I can work my magic during that shift. She'll flip.

For her last prank, I came up with a good one. She keeps a sweater in our area that she puts on when she goes outside to smoke. She never brings the sweater home, it's always hanging in our area, and she always wears it when she goes outside during her shift. So what'd I do? I took 4 EAS tag stickers (those alarm stickers we put on merchandise so that if someone takes something and the sticker isn't deactivated, they will beep loudly going out the front door. I hid the stickers throughout the inside of her sweater and the tags so that she can't see them at all. When she puts on her sweater tomorrow, and attempts to go out the front doors, she's going to beep like crazy and won't know why. If she then finds a sticker and removes it, and goes to go back outside, she'll still beep. She's going to have to find all 4 of them. I'm also going to do this to Corey & Michelle when I work with them tomorrow evening. ;-)
