Political Correctness
I was watching this thing on TV lastnight and they were talking about how rediculous political correctness is getting these days. They talked about how this high school band could not play christmas music at they "Winter concert" as they now call it. Another school told 5th graders that they had to change the words in "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" before they could sing it. Is this getting to far out of hand? I think it is. They even said that all christmas music is Christain! There are other religons that celebrat the birth of Jesus other than Christain! Hell Jesus was Jewis! Just because a song is sang about Jesus doesn't mean that it is only for christains. A class of like 4th grader were told to bring in a book from their family tradition for christmas and a little girl was told that she could not bring in a pop-up book about the birth of Jesus because it was too religous. What was she suposed to bring in? People are being told that they cant put up a nativity scene. The is getting way to out of hand. Most people dont even care about these things. I have been in school for 13 years and never have i heard about someones parents having a problem with it and if they do they dont have to be part of it.
