if planning to bike against strong winds on flat land, pretend you're going uphill. you'll feel better about the snail's pace.
given the wind, biking the golden gate bridge is neither terribly easy nor incredibly safe. (it does not follow that it's incredibly difficult or suicidal - and there are emergency phones all over if the latter's true. ; ) )
next time, isochromatic & i must allot more time to bike the marin headlands.
