Fun in the sun...

I can't tell you how happy I am that it is getting warmer outside. Such a beautiful couple of days. I love spring and being outside, all the flowers and trees starting to bloom.

so what is up with us in Morgantown, PA? We've been pretty busy lately with my inlaws visiting a few weekends ago, my parents came out last weekend and we went out to dinner with some friends in the neighborhood then went to a st patty's day party (belated b/c of them having a baby girl). Yesterday we went to Chuck E. Cheese for coffee again which was fun, had lunch there too. Ryan was way speedier than last time we went. Then since he didn't nap well, I took him and Reilly for an hour and 1/2 walk around the circle in our neighborhood. To me it gets old w/ the same scenery after awhile but i was thankful for the fresh air adn reilly loves going for walks. Ryan, however, seems to notice something new each time we pass around-saw planes (his new obsession), birds, trees, bushes, rocks, mailboxes-you get the point. he knows "sky" "ground" "house" "cloud"-i was floored-i don't remember specifically teaching him these words-he just has absorbed it from somewhere. then we played the rest of the afternoon outside with his little friends and tons of toys. they rolled on the grassy hill, climbed through tunnels, threw balls, drew with chalk on the driveway, went down the slide. He loves his little new "flintstone" car-the little tikes classic one that they move their feet under. he had a blast getting all dirty and being such a boy! this is going to be a different kind of summer, that is for sure. more dirt, more time outside playing, he can walk and run now (and likes to go into the street-we are working on that!!) ican't wait to take him to the pool, to the beach, the zoo. We are getting season passes to dutch wonderland too-it is in lancaster (30 min from us)-kiddie rides and a water area. it is so much fun seeing things through his eyes-everything is new and simple and fun. I couldn't be more content with life as it is this exact moment.

today at lunch time we met up with tim for our 1st official (professional) family portrait. We liked 3 of them a lot. we were all worried about ryan not smiling or being in the mood to take this picture (i made sure he was all well rested and fed first)-it was tim and/or i that screwed the other pics up by either looking dumb or laughing. the photographer we use is awesome-named jeff-he is so nice and very flaming gay (like jack on w&G) and the things he does and says to make ryan smile, totally cracks me up everytime-to the point where I get gitty.this is normally not a problem b/c i am not in the pictures. it is just so silly how he talks to ryan and throws animals in his face. ryan just loves it and should be a model i was thinking on the way home b/c of his rather easy going nature. he did whatever we told him to do and sat anyway we put him. lately he has been "posing" for pictures too and actually once got mad at me when I stopped taking his picture when he wasn't done. I kid you not!

this was tim's first time with him-jeff- and he couldn't stop laughing either. i forgot to prepare him. i think that the next time i am in a bad mood, I will have to think of jeff and his voice and i KNOW i will be happy again. so silly! i am laughing now as i type.
ok, nuff from me, going to get the rest of dinner going before tim gets home and ryan wakes up. poor kid must be pooped from all the excitement. ha ha. enjoy your evenings!!
