I did an essay on personal ads placed over the internet not too long ago. If you put in a picture, as a girl you are likely to have very very many responses. However, even if most will probably be one line wonders who don't much care (reports from some female friends of mine), there's always a jewel somewhere amoung the rough.

It /is/ an esentially creepy idea though, expositioning yourself anonymously in such an ad. But I /suck/ at doing so in person, and after two years the online thing seems to be paying off a little. It's worst when that jewel isn't very near. :/

This is very true. The internet seems to be having enough trouble just straightening out one type of relationship, which is sad. Though I am sure there's got to be what you are looking for /somewhere/ on the internet.
