Grrrr....

I posted yesterday, but the computer was acting funny, and the darn thing never actually posted.

Anyway, to recap my weekend, I had an interesting Turkey Day. The highlights were my grandmother's oven catching on fire while cooking the turkey and my three year old throwing up on the dog.

I braved Black Friday. Started at 5:30 AM. Did quite a bit of shopping, and had a blast living throught this purely American tradition.

Went to Atlantic City Saturday night with hubby. We had a great time. We kept coming up with things to do that reminded us of our past together. We watched the Georgia Tech/Georgia game (we both went to tech for college), ate at Corky's (a popular BBQ place in Memphis) and saw Collective Soul in concert (we saw them twice in two years at the Memphis in May concert spectacular). The concert was even better than I thought it would be. I discovered that not only do they have a hot guitarist, but they sounded great too. They played all of their greatest hits, and even some unexpected older songs that I love but didn't think they'd play. They also played about half of their new songs. I strongly recommend that any fan pick up their new CD (called Youth) and try to catch their concert.

I watched Valor vs. Venom yesterday. I went in hoping it would be decent, but I'm kind of disappointed. I went into Spy Troops thinking it would be awful, but was pleasantly surprised. Now the opposite happened with VvV.

I found out today we are actually closing on our house either Wednesday or Thursday. I was afraid to get my hopes up and get excited over it in case things went bad. It's kind of frightening to think that within 72 hours I'll be joint owner of a house. It's going to make December super crazy, but I think it'll be fun.
