New Layout and Strange Harry Potter Dreams
As you can see the new "layout" is up. The banner is by chickadork and yes I like Jessica Simpson. So there :-P.... So it didn't turn out to be as summery as I anticipated but...ah well... :-) I need to find some more colorful banners to push me out of my nuteral color palet I guess... :-)
In other news the Harry Potter fandom has officialy eaten my brain. I had my first Potterverse dream last night.
Somehow Neville ended up in the Hogwarts Portait System (as it was called by the characters present in my dream) I think it took place in the 19-Year Later time period because he was older and I'm pretty sure there was a Potter and a Malfoy involved in the misshap that wasn't Harry or Draco. But he's understandably confused and is worried that he's somehow died and doesn't remember it...he gets into all sorts of trouble as he tries to get to the Head-Mistresses office and is rescued from certain...death I suppose though he's a portrait so who knows it was a dream it didn't go into detail and he's rescued by Snape at the last second. (If I was an artist I would so draw this scene from my head basically Snape's hand reaching into the frame grabbing him by the scruff of the neck and yanking him into safety) I don't know really what happened next as I was pretty close to waking up and it shifted a lot but there was lots of snarking.
Of course this gets my muses going in ways that are not healthy for me as I don't want to write HP fanfic...but I was thinking that such a fic could actually work I mean we know certain things about Wizard Portraits. At the very least it leaves some interesting pondering about Wizard Portraits and how they work and all those things. We know certain things about them but not everything. (like most importantly how do they work -- do they need to be comissioned when they're alive and have a bit of their spirit taken at that time or the frame bewitched. Because what's to stop Harry from having paitings of his parents or Sirius done up so that he could intereact with them that way). So there's lots of room to play with I think.
Anyone know of any other Portrait fic out there? There's been a few newer ones that have popped up as a way to keep Snape and Dumbledore alive. Or any good posts/essays on how the portraits work?
Anyway now that I've bored everyone to tears...I'll sign off. Corazon will be posted later today and if I'm lucky maybe a fic update.
