The State of Amy...
Another long drought between posts...oops...
I've pretty much removed myself from fandom things (unless following book blogs counts as a fandom). Not sure if it's a break or what but...it's felt pretty good. I mean I'm still watching stuff and shipping stuff but I'm not really actively doing anything with it online. To be honest fandom and fandom related internet things have been more frustrating then fun lately and fandom is supposed to be fun so when it's no longer fun it's probably time to step back and consider things which I've been doing. I just feel all around better for it really.
So what's been going on in Amy-land? Stuff...actual stuff...sort of at any rate...
I've recently discovered all the amazing sounding YA fantasy and paranormal titles that are available these days. So many...so awesome! Where were they when I was closer to the age group in question? (we had some of course and it amuses me that LJ Smith is still around and as popular as ever) Also where do I start...so many to choose from lol. Oh well guess I have a lot of reading to catch up on. Of course right before a big out-of-state move is probably not the best time to be getting back into buying books...seriously contemplating buying a Kindle but...I love my books so very much. The feel, the smell, the sound the pages make when you turn them...I'm so very Giles-ish when it comes to books lol. But...probably I'll end up getting one in the end.
I've been doing a couple of other things that I'm not quiet ready to share yet but definitely will when I get them in order. And I've been playing way to much Castleville over on Facebook (yes I caved and got a Facebook...well my best friend made it for me really...but I'm not really giving my name out to anyone over there and trust me no one is missing anything I'm incredibly boring lol).
I've also been starting to get myself organized so that I can attempt to do the writing thing for real. My love is fully supporting me on this venture and it's something that I've always wanted to try for real so try I shall. Probably it won't go anywhere but at least I can say in the end that I tried.
Oh right...I don't think I ever put it here officially but...I'm in a relationship now lol! It will actually be 8 months on Sunday. I'm still in shock that it's happened. I wasn't looking for it and it came from a totally unexpected place (I met Jackie through the Hetalia fandom actually <3) but it's so right and wonderful. I've never really been one to believe in fate or soul mates, or I did but never thought about it in terms of me, but I really and truly think that we were meant to be together. We fit together so perfectly. It's amazing and I'm so incredibly happy it's not even funny.
So that's where I'm at right now. Happy and in love and getting ready to take a new road and a new adventure in my life. So I think the old stuff is starting to shuffle around a lot but...I'm not done with this place yet. It will always be a part of me and hopefully when things calm down a bit more I will start posting here again more. If you'll all still have me that is...
