In Which...It's Late Again...
Another late one but this time it's due to the fact that I was gone most of the day rather then being lazy.
My friend Kim (the one who lives in Florida) has been in town this past month to help care for her grandmother who fell had broke her hip and had surgery. I haven't seen her that much thanks to a combination of her being busy with school work (she's attending classes at University of Phoenix) and me being an anti-social hermit. We got together once last week and she's leaving next week so today was the big day to spend together.
We went to one of our favorite restaurants here in town and then spent the majority of the rest of the day shopping. I had a Child-at-Heart sort of day. Mostly buying toys (two Ponies and a Transformer lol) though I also got a book, a pair of bright pink headphones (to replace my broken ones) and started my Christmas shopping. All in all it was a good haul and for the first time in a long time I spent money on myself and don't feel the least bit guilty about it. Have one more thing I'd like to get and then besides Christmas I need to buckle down and start saving. I'm contemplating getting a new car, trips this coming spring and summer and a move on the horizon so I need to become oh-so-good and saving and not spending money girl very quickly.
Not much else to report. So, so, so looking forward to getting to sleep in tomorrow (even though that'll probably be 8am like it always it but hey it's 4 more hours then I normally get) and hopefully doing some writing. We shall see, we shall see.
