In Which...the World Keeps Spinning...
Obviously I've failed at posting this week. I've failed at doing pretty much everything this week. I suppose I could write it off as being a readjustment period and that I was sick for the later part of the week and those things did come partially into play but mostly I've just been trying to fight falling into a funk about how much I don't want to be here anymore. So I've pretty much spent the majority of the week watching stuff and doing nothing else.
I started watching a ton of new stuff breaking old policies and just watching whatever I wanted lol. I started and caught up with Once Upon a Time which I really loved. It's not the best thing ever but it's fun and I love twisting fairy tales up like that so it was quiet enjoyable. Plus I adore the way they're doing the Snow White and Prince Charming backstory. I can't wait to see what they do with Little Red Riding Hood and really hope they'll do something with the Pied Piper at some point.
I also finally started watching Community and fell pretty much instantly in love. Hello new happy place! After I finished Scrubs I was sure I'd never be able to find something that could come close to it in terms of Happy Place Status but now I have TWO Happy Place shows (Community and My Name is Earl) and while neither will ever be Scrubs they do indeed make me happy. But yes Community = Love. And of course I start watching when NBC decides to shelve it for a while... *le sigh*
Also on the watching front I finally watched the first ep of Merlin. I know right I am so behind. I enjoyed it enough that there will be more episodes. I've done fairly well at being spoiler free so them not starting off as friends was a pleasant surprise and I am curious how if/when they do the most canon of pairings and other things. And if I can keep my Lancelot issues in check once he appears later on down the line...lol.
And since I was on a fantasy kick I started the first ep of Game of Thrones and while I still need to finish it I enjoyed it rather a lot. Scruffy Beanie is always made of much win.
I also watched an episode and a half of Parks and Recreation because everyone seemed so high on it but...I was bored and uncomfortable. I assume it must get better but I just couldn't get into it. Maybe I'll give it another chance at a later date.
So yeah that was my week. This week I'll strive to get more on track with stuff. New layout here tomorrow probably. Hopefully an EyeCandy post. I have Monday and Thursday off and of course the day after Thanksgiving to look forward to at work and then I'm supposed to have the following Monday off as well. So should be an easy, but slightly stressful week.
