Fandom Stuff that Makes me Squee...
They're in the process of rebuilding the Hobbiton set in NZ, supposedly they're going to announce the Bilbo casting at ComicCon, and filming is set to begin in March.
Finally.
I thought this thing would never officially get off the ground past the scripting stage.
In news of other fandom nature I stumbled upon the first Percy Jackson and the Olympians trailer today and it made me squee seeing it...

Now it's pretty standard trailer fair and Columbus seems to be really missing working on the HP movies because the Olympus reveal (in the trailer at least) smacks of the first Hogwarts reveal in in Sorcerer's Stone (and the title reveal feels really HPish too I mean I know the books smack of HPness and that's the audience they're gunning for I'm sure...but yeah, way to make it even more over the top people). But..I don't care just seeing the whole Empire State Building Elevator ride to Olympus makes me grin like silly. I even approve of the look of the actor very close to how I picture Percy in my head I think.
And because I'm sharing trailer -- the EPIC 9 trailer... (apparently it's the second trailer they've released but it's the first I've seen and it's awesome so it'll always be the real trailer for me...)
