Bye bye Purple Car

May 05, 2006 21:30

Well... we didn't close today.. the mortgage company changed it'sname which screwed with out closing so it's been pushed back to the 9th... Needless to say Chris and I are very disappointed.. kind of let down but oh well we'll close eventually (right??)

We did sell the purple car today... I was kind of sad to see it get loaded up onto the towtruck and be driven away.... That was the car that Chris picked me up in for our first date... the car we had some fun it the night he told me he loved me for the first time... the car he drove to the century tree (with me blind folded in it) to propose to me... the car that was decorated (and very meanly I might add) at our wedding... the car that we drove on our honeymoon... The car was a big part of some of my very best/special memories it was hard to watch something like that go... I know it's only a car... and the poor thing was barely drivable... but still.. It was sad... I dunno maybe i'm wierd for being sad that the car is gone (to the scrap yard).... *sigh* Well... the good thing about it is that we got enough from it to buy some things that are needed for the house... I guess that balances out the memories that are associated with that car...*sigh*....

anyways... i'm kinda in a sad mood disappointed about not closing... I was planing on painting in the house at this time after closing... at least the delay in clsoing had nothing to do with Chris and I... that was a releaf... also, we're having our new washer and dryer delivered tomorrow... since the closing got pushed back and it isn't our fault the builder is letting us put the washer and dryer in (which is nice cause i've got no place to store it at the apt) but we were going to paint the laundry room before they got put in there... oh well we can always slide out the washer and dryer to paint right?? (it's the one room i said that chris could paint red...)

also a good thing about the closing being delayed is that the builder has time to fix sh*t that should have bene fixed (and we asked them to fix) a very, very long time ago.... the guy tried to give us some like about making every effort to fix everything and that no matter how much they fix chances are we'll always notice something that needs to be fixed.... well all i have to say is that i'm sorry I want the crooked wall fixed and that i'm sorry I want the walls around the indows to be straight and that i'm sorry i want my d*mn blinds to hand straight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think it's too much to ask, right? oh yeah and there is a wall that is blantantly (one of many walls) crooked in the bathroom and he has the nerve to say that every hosue he's built is like that becuase of the tub/shower being one peice so the tabs from the tub/shower stick out a little far which makes the sheet rock bow.... all i could do was scream in my head "Well ya d*mn stupid aggie (knowing full well i'm an aggie too) if you know it's going to do that each and everytime and it does that in your house too, why the h*ll don't you compensate for it while putting in the sheet rock instead of just allowing it to make the sheet rock bowout and make the d*mn walls crooked* but alas i didn't scream that outloud... probably should have... the guy doesn't talk to me anyways he only talks to Chris like i'm invisible or something...

*sigh*

oh and today i also got a thumb tack gabbed all the way into the palm of my hand... had to go and get some of that liquid bandaid stuff... so far it's working well... but my hand really hurts

oh and my keyboard is dying so if my fast, furious, and not spell check typing is worse that usual that's why....

well i think i've ranted enough for tonight... Keep your fingers crossed for Tues!!

Take care!
