I just started my first week of school in like forever and it went pretty well.
I get to be in orchestra with Brooke McCorkle and Patrina Harvey which is exciting to actually have people I know in class with me.
I finally found out who will be my violin teacher (Dr. Sarah Plum), and we met today and set up my lesson time, and I met all of her other students. She has a doctorite student, like 4 masters students, 4 undergrad musis major students, and 3 undergrad non-music major students.
I think all my classes will be fun, even my upper-division NWC. That class has 6 1-pg. papers (for each author we read) and 1 9-pg. paper (find a common theme in all the books we read this semester). I think it will go pretty well.
I didn't know about studio class though and have my NWC class during that time. I also couldn't go to the recital attendance meeting for the same reason. I at least let my violin teacher and the music office know that I couldn't do either. They both said it was okay. I figured I could talk to my NWC professor and work something out to where I can go to studio class every other time or something. I would only miss half of that class every fourth time that way.
I can only work 10 hours a week now though, and Ben still hasn't found a job. That's getting a little frustrating. I wish he'd find a lame job at like at Petsmart or Best Buy or Office Max and then look for the jobs he wants while he's working there, but he won't do it.
