Week 1 Finished
I made it through my first week of nursing school! The class I'll be with for the next two years is a great group, and I think we'll be a pretty cohesive unit. There are a few folks who seem a bit overwhelmed, and one guy that rubs me the wrong way, but otherwise I think we'll make it. :)
There is SO much reading to catch up on though. I wish they'd given us the reading list a week ago at Orientation so that we could have been better prepared. It would have helped alleviate the stress to some degree THIS week. But what's the fun in that, right?
I took the rest of tonight off after class ended. Did a few things for the shop, as they were having an event in the store, but otherwise just enjoyed some time via Skype with my guy. He's planning a trip out in 2 weeks, and I couldn't be more excited. It's been a while since we've seen each other in person (mid-November was when he left from his last visit). I miss him every single day, but nursing school is what will ultimately allow me to move to his side of the world. Or that's the plan for now at least. We take things as they come. He's very patient like that, and I guess I have to be as well. Can't have him showing me up, now can we? ;)
Tomorrow I'll do the catch up reading for Week 1, and the same goes for Sunday. Monday and Tuesday will be for Week 2 reading. So far, so good.
