1. Your husband would have fed himself to me to save his friends and it would have been for nothing. How does that make you feel?

He would have, but he didn't. The question's void.
But even if it weren't, that would change nothing. I know who he is and what he would do and why, and I accepted him even before he knew. If it would have made a difference, I'd have fed myself to you to save them too. He just has a longer history with them. Sometimes, just sometimes, acting for those one loves can make a difference, the way Caradoc did for Molly. We couldn't let a chance like that slip by, a chance to decrease danger and pain.

2. Alecto: Do you ever wish you had told Sev about the kid and raised him with him?
No.

3. Your son did a lot of screaming, but he never broke for us. Does that make you proud?
Yes. If your son hadn't broken, wouldn't you have been proud?

4. Alecto: What was your favorite part about teaching?
The eyes. They say eyes are windows to the soul, but until you see the budding of understanding deep inside, even while they - the lessons and the student - are denying it, they don't know what they're talking about.

5. Alecto: Do you realize how proud I am of the way you handled Severus's betrayal?
*smirks* Thank you. I shouldn't have been careless, I guess, but I'm rather satisfied with how things were going till then.
