Volunteer Opportunity: The Literary Circle
The Shakespeare Theatre Company is now taking applications for its Literary Circle, a select new group of eight volunteers convened by Literary Associate Akiva Fox to read lesser-known classic plays for future staged readings and mainstage productions.
Literary Circle members will gather once a month to discuss the plays they have read during the previous month, and to offer their recommendations on those scripts. In addition to such tangible benefits as ticket offers, Literary Circle members will have the opportunity to influence the artistic life of the theatre.
Prospective participants should have a passion for classic theatre and the ability to read and analyze two scripts a month. To be considered for this exciting new program, please email STCVolunteers@ShakespeareTheatre.org for more information. Applicants who reach the second round will be asked to evaluate a sample script and to meet with Akiva Fox.
