new show coming up!
been working on paintings for a new show at Zg Gallery in Chicago. I've been playing around with scratching into the claybord with an etching needle to pull out whites. This painting is called Steadfast Bunch, and is 36 x 36.
somehow, i was dopey enough to think this process would be quicker, but it's really not. however, i like it. its sort of fun in an infuriating sort of way. a bit similar to hand sewing a quilt. here's a detail:
