for the sake of brevity

highlights from the weekend:

inspired by ron artest, i proceeded to beat up ninja once i found out he was the mysterious "mulla mulla habeeb" from our listserv.  now, i never read any of mulla's postings, nor was i ever a target of any of his writings.  but because i vowed to myself (last year) that i would beat up mulla once i found out who he was, ninja received a rain of fists and pointy shoes upon his body.  thank goodness we were both laughing while i was hitting him with both of my fists.  thank goodness s pulled me off and then proceeded to tell me not to get into any more "fights" or he would have to jump in and protect me.  oh boys.  don't y'all realize by now that i don't get into fights unless i can win (ie not be hit back)?

a big happy bday to hunter!!  a crowd of us went out for his bday, which turned out to be a lot of fun--everyone seems to be stepping it up these last couple of days of school.  s and i went to fielding's for her get-together, then it was off to central hq, where roop and sway had a keg in honor of hunter's bday.  the place was teeming with throngs of people who all got to witness me pounding on ninja's arm (sorry again!).  for sway, wasakalidoscope, and dmoney:  i would like to rescind the adjective i used to describe mb.  i hate being mean to people, and even more so to people i have no justification for being mean to because i don't know them.  plus, girls and guys seem to have different standards by which they rank the same sex, so maybe asking a girl her opinion of a girl you might be interested in is not the best idea.  i do try to be as honest as possible, but naturally, my opinion is colored by my gender.

s and i drove up saturday to atlanta, just to get out of athens for a day.  s wanted to get new clothes, so i took him shopping, where he *pretended* to let me pick out his clothes.  as much as he kept sweetly saying, "oh, i just want to look nice for you," he kept nixing the majority of clothes i picked out for him.  i'll admit it--when it comes to dressing guys, i might want them to look a little too metrosexual for the average guy's taste.  s finally picked out clothes that he and i both liked without any help from me.  i think i'll stick to the woman's section from now on.  afterwards, we met up with hipdaddyo for dinner at sweet lime in little 5, and then s, fearing for his life, took my keys away and drove us back to athens.  i'm asian and i'm a woman--whaddaya expect?

minipic of me and s.  aren't we cute?  he's teaching me to play the bass guitar and the drums.  it's soooo exciting to learn a new instrument!  so much better than working on law school!
