(no subject)
so, i finally have a chance to update...a lot has happened.
saturday night, i sat down and had a talk with my mom about my classes. im so glad she understood...she told me it would be alright if i dropped my music classes and changed my major. im glad she realized that things were just sending me over the edge. so, monday, i went and got all the forms signed and changed to advertising. i dropped most of my music classes, but im staying in flute 215 so i can keep taking lessons (since i've already paid for them) and studio, and im also staying in analytical listening because it'll take care of my 3 arts credits that i need for advertising. i'll also get a 50% refund on my classes, which isn't very much, but better than nothing. im trying to get a hold of my new adviser but she isn't emailing me back and i have a huge problem. i only have 11 credit hours and i need 12 to stay full time and keep my scholarships. i think ill just take raquetball at the rec....its 1 credit hour....and its fun.
im pretty excited about advertising, and i don't think i'll be here any longer than i have to just because i'll be starting a semester later. after this semester, i'll have my Arts done, i have 3 of the 6 science credits, i'm done with English, and i'll only have to take a semester of math, and 2 semesters of history. theres a few others, but im glad i took AP classes in high school...i got a lot out of the way, and this semester wasn't a total waste at all.
i also went and quit the synchro team....i don't regret it. i couldn't stand going...swimming used to make me so happy and relaxed, but every time i went to practice, i just felt like bawling. it didn't seem like anybody cared, so whatever. ill have a really good time being an assistant coach at east. im really excited....tomorrow im meeting with hovorka.
theres a kid in the lounge sitting about 10 feet away from me and he's eating a bag of chili cheese fritos and he's making a FUCKING RACKET. and i can smell it from here!!! ugh..must people make noise when they eat?...and he keeps randomly humming songs...seriously, what is wrong with people?? being retarded is one thing, but throwing your retardedness out into the world just to piss people off is another. and he just got up a second ago to go fill up his water bottle and he was over by the sink sucking the shit off his fingers. jesus christ...and he periodically opens his notebook and stares...but he isn't looking at his notebook at all...he keeps staring at me. im so close to picking up my laptop and throwing it at his fucking head. some people are so stupid!!!!!
hmmm...not much else going on. im so much happier already. its so nice to not be in a constant time crunch and always have to worry about where you have to be next. oh, and i've been taking the bus to school, which sounds lame, but im out of gas and i don't have much money, and UNL students get free bus passes, so i just walk about 15 minutes in the morning to vine street, and the bus drops me off right by the lied center. how convenient!
