busy busy busy!!! school has been pretty nonstop for the past few days. monday night was synchro meeting which was really awful. basically, i wasn't even acknowledged, and quite literally, the only thing i said the entire meeting was, "I'm Amy, and i'm a freshman." they asked everyone if they had experience, and i was one of two people that did,

You know what, Ames? I was thinking yesterday that I don't want to make art a career. Sitting in my Vis Lit class doing the tidious design work made me realize that I like it as a hobby; I just want to sit and draw or paint. Isn't that funny? I wonder if all Freshies go through this. Maybe it's just us. We're special!!!!

most freshmen go through this, *especially* those who start out in disciplines (like the arts as oppsed to business or science). and by the way, vis lit is a big weeding process to help people figure out if they can stand it or not.

its true...the people that are in it for the fun always drop out, or they suck because they aren't motivated to get better.

I know we aren't best friends or anything, but I know you better than anyone else at UNL, and I know that you are an awesome person. If you get bored some day during your break maybe we could get lunch. I haven't really made any friends so during lunch I just go home. My lunches are from 1:30 to 2:30 Mondays & wednesdays, and 2:00 on tuesdays and thursdays and 1:30 on fridays. If any of them fit in your schedual, let me know. I'd like to see how life is going with you, rather than just reading your journal to find out.

thanks amanda, that really means a lot to me. i usually eat lunch really early. on MWF, i eat at 11:30, and tuesdays and thursdays, 12:30. im sure we can work something out though, cus i get really lonely and i just eat lunch alone every day. pooey.
