"Clan Alpine" ex "Empire Barrie". 10, 11,60. On her final trip to the breakers in Japan, while loaded with cargo, for discharge at Chittagong, she was blown ashore by a Cyclone.
Another "Turret" ship, this time Clan Monroe, wrecked on the South African Coast in 1905.

Captured U570 entering Hvalfjord, Depot Ship HMS Hecla, Corvette HMS Windermere, destroyer HNS Burwell and Tug Gondia. The U-boat was captured by an RAF Hudson of 269.
