Jack's point of view
On my knees.
Held down.
Laughter.
Kick.
Pain.
Scream.
Be quiet.
Laughter.
Punch.
Pain.
Scream.
Quiet.
Laughter.
Punch.
Blood.
Insult.
Tear.
Kick.
Pain.
Scream.
Quiet.
Laughter.
I screamed again as his fist came into contact with my already broken body. A blow to the ribs, side of a leg, elbow, my back, head and anywhere else that would hurt. His friends held me by the arms as he circled me, looking for a spot that he hadn't already beaten yet.
"Pl-please - please stop?" I ask quietly, my voice breaking on the last syllable.
"Did - did I just hear that?! Was that a plea for mercy, faggot?" Shane asked me in disbelief, he was so close that I could hear his heavy breathing from all the exercise and feel the spit with every word.
I nodded.
Wrong move.
Punch.
Pain.
Scream.
Cry.
"Awh, poor wee fag."
"Did we hurt the faggots feelings?"
"Too bad" another kick, this one to the stomach. I began to bend over in pain but someone behind me grabbed my hair, yanking me back up into a sitting position.
I lifted my eyes from the ground to look at Shane standing in front of me.
Chesire cat grin.
Flash of light.
Move head.
Eyes widening.
I gasp slightly as I catch sight of the blade, glinting in the fading sunlight. I hear an evil laugh and feel everyone turn to look at Shane.
"Shane, we can't"
"Not that far -"
"- get into trouble -"
"- last time"
"- not again..."
My ears are filled with the sounds of a large group of people telling him not to do what is on his mind. I feel myself tremble with the thought of what might happen, what has already been done. Shane is obviously the ring leader - what he says goes. The attempts these nameless beings have been making to stop him are wasted, brushed off, uncared for.
He has made his mind up.
And apparently this isn't the first time.
