whoa buddy...

I realized I haven't taken the time to discuss our extremely eventful trip back to Olympia from Portland.
Well the day started out really early (about quarter to six because my family was leaving)... I had actually started to bleed.. Said our goodbyes... went out for breakfast, then headed back to pack... oh man, even though I had only bought about five new bras, one new book, acquired A LOT of food, one new dress, one new skirt, one new shirt, and Michael only one new pair of pants, and one new book, and we were also the recipients of two pairs of headphones my family doesn't use... packing up was not easy... But we weren't leaving until about 11:30am to catch our 12:15pm train, so we had some time... to nap between packing. This was an inevitably bad idea because it made both of us more tired... and by now it was raining. The train station was only about five blocks away and the hotel provides a shuttle to wherever in the Portland area. By the time we finished packing (mainly just me) and made it down to the front desk, it was 11:20am... And there was a half hour wait for the shuttle. We ended up not waiting and had to walk with our phenomenally heavier bags to the train station, in rainy cold downtown Portland with me insanely sweating. BUT WE MADE IT! Then we had to deal with seat assignments... ugh. Found our seats... And before we even left, a little girl in the seat across from us, projectile vomited all over the girl next to her... So it was, a vomit-scented train ride back to Olympia.

Where we were sitting was two sets of seats facing each other. The train was sold out, so we would have to sit across from someone. Luckily it was a couple of fellow friendly midwesterners. Michael talked with them, but I was intermittently plagued by the familiar menstrual cramps we women know all too well, read, listened to music, and admired the heavy snow coming down. Man, I was so thankful I was on the train and not on the highways!!!

When we got back to Olympia, we stopped at our favorite diner: the Reef. When I came back from the bathroom, Michael informed me that we were being kicked out because we had too many bags. BAHHH!!! In pain, it was freezing cold out, I was hungry... could anything more go wrong??? So we walked back home, unloaded and decided to eat an extremely expensive meal of sushi, which was only just across from our apartment.

THE END.
