amelie just told me about how there is a movie out there about cuba and how it has passed its oil peak, meaning they are using more oil than they can produce. they have been forced to find other ways to import/export and have been using bicycles as the major mode of transportation. they have also resorted to becoming more hunter/gather-esque and have been pressured by the government to grow their own food.
