Reid got a text from Katie to tell him that she would be going on a trip with Chris and the kid for the weekend. When he called her and asked about the late plans she informed him that it was his boyfriend that gave them the idea and made the reservations for them.
This surprised Reid so he called him and asked if he had time to stop by the hospital.
When Luke arrived an hour later. Reid took him to his office and asked him to take a seat.
"So" Reid said as he was sitting down in his own chair in front of Luke. "Could you please explain to me why you are treating Katie, the kid and the idiot on a little holiday this weekend."
Luke blushing made Reid feel all mushy inside. "Luke, I don't mind. You did a nice thing, but I wonder if there is an alternative reason here. And since you are blushing I assume I am right. Did I miss something. Do they have an anniversary or did they complain that we where intruding on their private time. What was it ?"
Luke was wiggling in the chair. "You are right. I was doing something nice for them, but I had a selfish reason to. I never got the idea that we where intruding on their private time. Katie always looks happy when I come over. But I would really love to see you without having my aunt giggling anytime I lean in to sit close to you. Or when you come over to my house my mom always seems to knock to come in the room when we are making out."
"God Reid, I just really want to do more with you then just some stolen kisses now and then. I can not buy your love but for some reason. I still don't get, you love me anyway. But when I heard them talk about how nice it would be to go away sometime together, I just thought I could maybe buy us some privacy. But it was also a thank you for Katie because I can always come over to your place and she often invites me to stay for dinner."
Luke stood up and was walking toward Reid. "I made a rash decision I know. I don't even know if you want to be with me this weekend. I just really want to make love to the man I love. Would you like to ........"
Luke did not have time to finish his sentence because Reid got up and kissed him while shoving him on the desk.
"I thought I was smart but I guess you are the genius." Reid said as he enjoyed.. looking at his shocked boyfriend. "Pack a bag you are staying at my place this weekend. But next time maybe we can go away for a weekend. Somewhere hot so you don't have to be wearing so many clothes. Reid said as he pointed to Luke his winter clothes."
"All I need is you, a bed and some privacy. But I don't mind if we put on the heater to." Luke was smiling as he went in for another kiss.
