I'm a lifelong theater geek, but maybe not the kind one should run away from in horror. I don't watch Glee, I'm not an angsty "Rent-head" or Spring Awakening fangirl. I don't "stage door" or write fanmail. I have an associates degree (don't laugh, I'm poor) in theater arts from a really wonderful (again, don't laugh) community college. After graduating, I worked for two years in one of my city's theaters where I stage managed two shows and worked as program coordinator for the theater education program. I'm also currently wig mistress for the rival theater company's production of Hairspray. What a way to run a business...
Anywho, I'm returning to school (kind of late in the game) to finish my BA in Drama Studies. I couldn't tell you what I hope to be when I grow up because it'd be naive of me to think that I know all about the entire theater profession and where I belong in it at this stage of the game. But I need to finish my edumacatin' as soon as possible.
