The worst thing in the world is losing touch with friends...
I was just thinking today about an old dear friend who haven't talked to in about 10 months. Damn. That's too long. I have been telling myself for months to pick up the phone and give her a ring, yet the more time that passes, the more ashamed I get that I didn't keep in touch.
It's sad to think how hard it is to build up a strong, trusting, deep friendship, yet how easy it is to lose it all.
And next year, as we all go our separate ways, it will be even harder to stay in touch and maintain the same friendships we all have now. People will move. People will change. And friendships will be put under strain. I'm sure hoping I dont get so dumb as to lose any more friendships by idly letting them slip through the cracks.
