(no subject)
New layout, as it is no longer my birthday and it has been overcast/raining for WEEKS NOW OMG... I needed some blue in my life... therefore I am now using Bloom Blue. Also a new title to my journal, as the husband has been requesting I change it for quite some time now.
Bloom is definitely off the rose with my Lappy. *insert angryface here* For some reason, it's running really, REALLY slowly. Some of that is our 'net connection, because it's been a jerk on every computer in the house, but. Even fic I have loaded in tabs to just read are NON FUNCTIONAL. As in I can't scroll down the page. And I can't get to *other* tabs to just close them. *sigh* And it seems Lappy doesn't like YouTube much more than my desktop PC did. Ditto for Facebook, and it pretty much just reboots if I try to access MySpace. Not that I really ever go to MySpace, but there are a few blogs I follow through there. Facebook, on the other hand... it's my connection to people. I openly admit to being an app whore, but ALL my RL people are on there and seem to only want to communicate via Facebook. I've lost count on how many emails I've sent that have not been replied to... yet there they are, throwing sheep at me on Facebook. And it's the best way to gossip about work without being at work, since everyone from work is on Facebook too. And of course, I am just as bad at keeping up with people on Facebook as I am with LJ or email or even the phone. I mean well, but then I get distracted by shiny things.... not even good shiny things... could just be tinfoil... *sigh* Although props to xena_and_gabby, who called me on my Thursday night off last week (although how she was able to psychically guess that I'd be home since normally I work Thursday nights... although maybe not in the future; schedules at work are all messed up and I don't think I will manage 2 days off in a row until... maybe November?) even if it was in large part to cajole me into adding a Facebook app. I really think Facebook might be a recruiting tool for the devil.
All right. Now off to check on supper and get back to watching wrestling....
