Random photos from the last year or so.
This is my godson Dalek. He has the same birthday as me, poor kid. He's about 11 months old here.
This is my other godson, Anakin. He's about 26 months old here. Notice how HUGE he is? Dalek is really tiny for his age - being tested for dwarfism and such. His brother, not even 15 months older, is wearing a size 4.
My goddaughter Rei-Ana. She'll be seven on June 6.
Helium balloons for Chloe's wedding. By the time the wedding rolled around, the helium had all dissipated.
Another pic from the wedding reception. More non-helium helium balloons.
DON'T CRUSH THE TULIPS, mmkay? Ottawa's Tulip Festival was on while we were home.
The "Maman" statue in front of Ottawa's National Art Gallery. They paid WAY too much money for this shit.
Cookies and hot chocolate for Santa. Yes, I baked them all.
My coffee table on Christmas eve. I decorated the cookies, too. Dammit, now I want cookies.
Fire pretty?
View of the blizzard from *inside* it. January 2008 in Ottawa, waiting for a bus across from the Chinese buffet.
Falling-down barns while driving back to Saskatoon from Elbow. I lind of like creepy ruins like that, you know? This was taken through the passenger-side window while driving down the highway.
Elbow Lake, September 2007
This was either on the drive back from Elbow or the drive back from Regina for my birthday.
Same time. Either June or September, 2007
Ottawa's Chateau Laurier hotel. It's a historic site. And apparently haunted. August 2007.
The National War Memorial and the Chateau Laurier. Taken at dusk from the intersection of Sparks & Elgin. August 2007
The light reflecting off the Rideau Canal onto the underside of the Bank St. Bridge. Taken while on a boat tour, August 2007.
Stairs down to the Canal. Also from the boat tour.
And from another angle.
I believe this is Saskatoon's war memorial? It's a cute little gazebo with a plaque. Summer 2007.
Looking across the Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon. I liked the framing with the trees.
A view in downtown Saskatoon. Summer 2007
willowwpryce has been posting pictures like mad recently;
3155 has always posted gorgeous photos that I am envious of, and I was just home for a visit and
nubby_1's wedding, so I got the total photo bug. And the real reason I'm posting these tonight is because I wanted to put this last one up for
carlanime.
Across the Ottawa River, looking into Gatineau. Note the museum of Civilization with its distinctive rounded shape. Taken from behind Parliament Hill, May 2008.
On that note, nighty-night folks!
ps - new layout this week! Say hello to Fleur!
