Pregnancy is at 36 weeks--no more worries about having to go 2 hours away (Did I talk about that here? If not, what I'm referring to is that this hospital is small enough that, if a woman goes into labor before 36 weeks, and the labor can't be stopped, she'll be flown up to Medford, Oregon. It sounds like all is going pretty well then, and you have quite a little 'resort' to hang around in while Notepad chooses the timing. Best wishes, all the way and always, m'dear.

Will you actually need to see a doctor during labour? Is it a given? I saw a doctor once when I had the boy, and that was the discharge round, where she poked him and declared him fit to go home. Labour itself was me and the midwife and her student (actually more the student)...

Depends on who's on call when I go in. Like I said, there's 2-3 people to cover 14,000 (OK, so 4,000 or so of those people are the folks in the prison, which is a men's facility, and there's only a fraction of the rest that are women of childbearing age, of whom not all are pregnant, but you know what I mean!)
