Class after labor day weekend.
The literature class I'm in has us writing a fictional piece, which as I mentioned before I am revamping the story I wrote for Laura last year. The fiction portfolio will also include our author's note, a letter from a classmate who has evaluated our piece, a letter we write to another classmate evaluating their piece and a critical essay on published essays we have been reading through the semester so far.
Today we workshopped our rough drafts and sent them with the classmates who will be writing each letter respectively. The essay I brought in was 24 pages (because I dropped it down to 10 pt font to keep it from being 34 pages) and the essay I got to evaluate was only four pages. I felt kind of like a show off because the other people in my group, one had seven pages and one hadn't written it yet. Oh well, not much feedback for them huh?
