(no subject)
I haven't been around much this weekend. I've been slowly cleaning the house while watching the 48 hour Miami Vice marathon on TVland. I've been out so much this past week I banned myself to the house. I needed some quiet time anyway. I've been struggling with some minor depression that has seemed to hang on. I think I've pinpointed it back to the day I had EMDR done. I need to pull my stuff together and get ready for the week and I'm hoping lots of rest, relaxation, good tea, a long hot bath and journaling will get me to that place.
This weekend I also booked myself plane ticket to Las Vegas and 2 nights at the Bellagio for my birthday! Okay, so it's not 'til June, but it was such a great deal I couldn't pass it up. B and I also bought tickets to the Journey/Def Leppard concert in July. We got two mid-range seats ($55/a piece) and by the time we checked out our total with all the handling fees and parking, came to $154. I about had a fit right then and there! It better be a REALLY fantastic concert.
Two of my psuedo-cousins (not related by blood but I call their parents Aunt and Uncle) are in college and I sent them out two finals survival packages. I made them a mix CD full of (what I consider) "fun" music. I thought it was a great mix CD, but lets hope these girls who are 15 years younger than me find them equally as amusing. I made a few adjustments and sent out a few Mix CDs and letters to some random people from Postcardx. Does anyone else find making mix CDs/getting mix CDs as fun as I do? I used to always join in theme mix CD trades on the snail mail sites. I haven't done that in awhile. I miss it.
