We said hello briefly but he was busy and who am I to keep a hot man from his work? Even though I didn't make it back out that night for the party - he played a few songs during happy hour and that was enough for me.
The last few days have been good in the sense that I've had the chance to catch up with friends on a one to one basis. I was at Bourbon Street having drinks with one friend, and then two. Then last night another friend came by and we chatted late into the night. This weekend holds a few more possibilities. I'm really enjoying the reconnecting process. I've missed my friends so much and I'm hoping that since I seem to be better at balancing time, I can give them the friendship they deserve.
I'm working at home the rest of this week. I finally have the perfect little corner set up and it's actually a joy and a comfort to sit in the downstairs sitting room and work quietly away. It's quiet, cool and the lighting is low. I've got music playing at a comfortable sound level (for me, the deafie) and petting a furry ball of love is only a few steps away! The upside is that I'm truly productive. The downside is that sometimes it's difficult to stop working when the official time is over.
Tonight it's back to dance class...and on to working on any dance EXCEPT waltz. I'm over it. I need to have fun tonight. I need to learn something fun. C'mon Dana...don't let me down!
