(no subject)
Since Angel went on hiatus for the summer, I got to go to my first convention. It was called Bad Girls and Wild Boys, and was over in England.
From Buffy and Angel it was me, J August, Julie Benz, Stephanie Romanov (her first con too), Clare Kramer, Elizabeth Anne Allen, Jeremy Renner. Neil Roberts from Charmed was also there, and J brought along his girlfriend, Tangi Miller (from Felicity), although she wasn't an actual guest at the con. I am just amazed that on the cover of the program, they chose me - and Clare - to be the main artwork!

My first panel was on Saturday with J. He and I were the last two guests for the day. We had so much fun. J and I share a trailer on set, and he really is probably my best friend, so we had a lot of fun teasing each other and telling stories about filming. We were also asked a lot of questions, and someone brought up the fact that they'd heard we'd filmed a scene while one of the cast wasn't wearing any pants, and they wanted to know if it was true, and if so, who. ::grins:: I got to tell them that yup, we had, and it was Alexis. That was when we were filming "Offspring" and it was just absolutely freezing on set so I was wearing my sweatpants underneath my skirt. I pulled my sweatpants down so that they wouldn't make my skirt look weird on camera, but I still had them on my legs, so Alexis decided to do the scene behind the desk in his underwear. That was definitely one of the weirdest moments of filming I've had on the show.
On Sunday, J brought HIS camera, and was taking pictures of the fans, taking pictures of all of us. Someone mentioned Tangi, so he brought her up on stage, and she answered questions for a few minutes. And of course J was taking pictures of her while she was up there. ;)
On Sunday, again, I was the last guest. Just me this time. I'll admit, I was kinda nervous. But when I'd just barely started my talk, J popped in the back of the room and started to take pictures of me with his handy little camera before he vanished. He was camera-guy that day! The fans got me to do the Dance Of Joy, and they had a lot of fun with that.
Someone brought up fanfiction, so I had to talk about Andy for a while. ::laugh:: See, Andy reads a lot of the fanfic out there on the net. Someone once gave him some Angel/Lorne slash to read, and he's been hooked on it since. So he reads a lot of it, and the stories he really likes, he'll print out and bring up to the set for us to read. He's brought me some Fred/Cordy slash to read before. It was ... interesting. It's just really odd to be reading about Fred, ya know? After my panel wrapped, we had closing ceremonies, and then a disco. That was really a lot of fun.
Aside from that convention, I've just been relaxing all summer. Taking it easy, came home to Dallas for a little while to relax with the fam. Might have a bit part in "Catch Me If You Can" - that's still up in the air right now, waiting to see if I made it past the cutting room or not. ;)
