I did it. I stole another dog.
Well didn't really "steal" as I told the owners I was taking him. But I won't be bringing him back.
He lives next door to one of my clients. He's this beautiful German Shepherd who's left chained to a tree 24 hours a day with no food or water. I feed him whenever I'm over that there, but yesterday he wouldn't take the food or come out of his dog house. I knew something was wrong.
Sure enough, his neck was all bloody with the chain becoming imbedded. He's covered with dermatitis, flies, and dried blood. I said "No fucking way" and put him on a leash and took him stright to the vet. He'll probably have to have surgery tomorrow, and then stay with me while he recovers.
*sigh* - I hope he's not as expensive as Bella was!
