Last night I *FINALLY FINISHED* my Victorian Cross Stitch I've been working on for, like, 5 years! Here, see a photo of it,
I'm very happy with it and can't wait to frame it and put up on the wall!!! And OMG, 9 billion french knot snowflakes!!! *headdesk* ALSO, the stupid pattern didn't have the locations of the knots marked, you were supposed to be "random" and refer to the photo of the completed one from the front of the packaging. HORRIBLE plan, Gold Collection. Horrible plan.
I was actually going to go out and get framing materials today, however, when I look out my window I see this:
ETA: Ha! I just noticed you can see the holes where I pushed the handle of the broom through the stupid thing in an attempt to weaken it into falling last night. ;) It... didn't fall? And instead I got snow all over my living room floor.... *cough*
And, and anyways I don't really need to go out, so maybe I won't today ;) Not that it looks all that bad, all things considered, but we're actually forecast-ed for snow after 4 pm, so... Yeah. As much as I love the craft store I don't want to end up trapped there by additional snows and stupid drivers. ;)
Oh!
This pic is funny because between the two larger shrubs is the sidewalk that allows access to the building. Also, I <3 snow drifts, so.. Snow drifts!
Here's another that shows the drifts, but also notice that some of the snow drifted up over people's cars. I'm v. glad I have my garage now!! OMG - would have SUCKED to dig out of that!!!
Now, I'm going to go back to working on my new cross stitch in the hopes it will keep me from feeling like I need to download the Dave Matthews / Tim Reynolds Live in Vegas CD from iTunes, since my hard copy should be in the mail and on it's way to me ;)
