Baby update
I'd say this was just an update but aside from the baby there isn't much to say. Work's good, Jake's good but nothing Earth-shatteringly new.
Baby on the other hand is GROWING! I'm exclusively in maternity pants and almost exclusively maternity shirts. At this point, I've gained 6lbs but my shape is changing. I've got some sweatshirts and things like that which I can still wear but most things are too short. A cousin of mine recently had a baby and so she sent me all her maternity stuff - its like having a whole new instant wardrobe! Many of the shirts are too big still but I'm sure that won't last long. We had our 16 week appointment last night and all is well. Baby's heartbeat was much louder than last time and we could hear him/her squirming around. I'm anxious to feel baby move but nothing yet - should be in the next week or two. I'm calling today to set up our ultrasound for the last week of Feb. Closer to then I'll have to get a poll going on boy vs girl. I lean toward boy but really I'm not sure at all. I'm mostly excited to get a peak at this kiddo and make sure they are healthy. Plus, Jake says I can't buy anything till after the ultrasound! In other good pregnancy news, the second trimester really is fantastic. I feel great. Queasiness is gone, life-sucking fatigue is gone and I feel good. I eat all the time but that's doable. My back has been bothering me a bit the past few days but I've been working a lot and I think I've been picking too many kids up - must quit that! I was off yesterdy and I'm off today, hopefully that will give it time to recouperate a bit.
Okay, enough procrastinating housecleaning and dinner-starting (crock pot). I think that's all the baby news I have to share!
