I am frustrated you can't find an answer that is solving this skin irritation. Of course your frustration is through the roof/off the charts…so there is not a win win for anyone. Get well soon.

It’s interesting about the masks: nobody in Spain wore masks anywhere, except in public transit (and then it was 100% compliance, just an immediate 180 degree shift). But I observed many times “you’d never even know a pandemic had happened just from looking around ( ... )

Oh, honestly, i think outdoor masking is dumb, and i have since the very first days of the pandemic when we were made to do it in China. It's no busier outside on the streets here than any other busy city of the world, so there's no more justification for it here than anywhere else. It's a stupid ordinance that i think primarily exists as a propaganda tool. I suspect the idea of mandating masks across the board helps to keep people conscious of their social responsibility ( ... )

Tea tree oil? My daughter got ringworm from a stray cat, and that helped to clear it up. It might sting like a mother though. I like your idea of waiting a few days with no treatments, though.

I love tea tree oil! It's one of the few "natural remedies" that's shown to work better than a placebo in formal testing, so it gives me even more comfort than some of my other family remedies like eating grated apple when i have an upset stomach, eating garlic for colds, drinking hot water with honey for throat ache, tiger balm for muscle pain etc. Sadly, i have not been able to find a bottle of it here, which is unexpected because East Asians go absolutely bananas with medications when they are sick - prescription, over-the-counter, vitamins, supplements, you name it. I did, however, find a bar of tea tree oil infused soap which i am using and it does seem to help, even if it is just the psychosomatic effect. I will keep my eye out for the oil, because something like that, which will kinda dry out the skin a bit and perhaps also have some antibacterial effect seems like just the ticket.

I highly recommend going to the doctor for this. A few years back I had a persistent yeast infection. I went to the doctor and was prescribed not only a highly effective antibiotic but also suppositories to use for 2 weeks that would help reset my PH levels to make my body less hospitable to the yeast. The 3 week course of treatment was annoying but I felt like a new woman afterwards.
