I'm invisible... an eraser of love... And i went to Fred Everything the other day. Apparently another Big Name In House, from Montreal this time, and he wasn't too shabby. Very deep with funky and vocal interludes. I heard Lil' Louis - French Kiss for the first time, which was really odd because i've been going out to these things for 12 years now. It's amazing how in all that time you can just completely miss a classic tune purely by accident. Now i've heard it i gotta say - fuckin choon!!! Hey, i'm only 18 years late realizing this, c'mon, stop laughing.
The crowd was thin - again. Seems like every gig i go to lately has a sparse crowd. Not sure what's going on. I went to Music Box @ Eurotrash a few weeks back, which is kinda more jackin'-y house with live drums and live synth over the top. Very, very cool. But there was noone there. Apparently the gig the month before that i didn't go to was packed. What's with that? Do i smell? I haven't been to a jam-packed techno gig for fucking ages. Hodges? Probably.
I also went to Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds this weekend, which was alright. I'm glad i did because it was probably another once-in-a-lifetime thing like Guns'n'Roses, but yeah. More sitting down watching a band perform some tunes. Eh. Needed more doof. I got a little doof (and a LOT hungover) at the Fitzroy pub crawl last night, but Fitzy still hits every pretentious git alarm for me. Can't really dig the music either, which probably explains the extreme drunkenness. Tonight is lesbian karaoke. Yes you read that right. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. It would be a bad idea to get as drunk as last night, given it's a school night. Man, i'm missing the Ron Carroll sideshow for this (missed the main show last night). My ex and friend who're down from Cairns better love me for the sacrifice heh.
Someone said Ron Trent might be coming this year. All i have to say is oh shit yes.
